Maybe this is just rubbing salt into a fresh wound, but wouldn't it be possible to make a second channel where you ONLY cover the war, and other topics which might present an monetization issue if you so choose perhaps, and move all the troublesome content of your main channel and get it restored? I heard this happening to other channels, in fact I reckon it's the reason almost everyone and their dog who produce content spread it out over multiple channels. The part where this isn't rubbing in salt, is that I am pretty sure if you contact support and explain you plan to move all content off your channel they object to, I am pretty sure they will accommodate you in doing so. If not, well sorry no point in giving advice after the fact right :(
