  1. It's not ''taurus' it's 'no we won't give tanks' -> 1 year later 'ow tanks are needed, and we will give them'. The same will happen with Taurus, and in the mean time Ukrainian soldiers are dying needlessly ( if one believes that the additional aid would have an affect on battlefield results, which I do believe ). Don't feel to attacked, it's just an emotional response and it doesn't mean the world doesn't appreciate the aid which is given. It's just that most of us think we should be giving more aid. Taking in the refugees is not just very humane, but also a logistical and economical burden which Germany is handling very well. The problem tho, just yesterday I read an article about the percentage of Ukrainian refugees per country which are taking part in the economy ( aka they have paid jobs ). If I am not mistaken, Germany was very low on the list there? While there is a large group here in The Netherlands which are now part of the internal labor pool which helps offset quite a part of the costs. Not saying this is a bad thing, it just shows how much Germany wants to care for the people it takes in as refugees. But you're going to spend 6 BILLION euro on social benefits for Ukrainian refugees in 2024 ( re: Christian Lindner ). There is an issue with how strict Germany handles language requirements tho, a lot of refugees have qualifications which aren't recognized in Germany ( and which are recognized here in The Netherlands for instance ). From what I heard a lot of people can not get work because of this reason, and it's not only about the 'Burgergeld' social security payments. Personally I think people who have the ability to work and provide for themselves, will choose to do so.

  3. The issue isn't making a drone, heck when I was 13 I went to a model flight club where people build bigger things in their sheds ffs. The issue is the guidance system, but as you say once you've designed it the material costs are very low ( you can get commercial gps trackers and camera's with some optical recognition running on a darn Pi if you wanted to ). The 'costs' therefore are not based on actual material or development value, but on necessity of ownership. In this case, I'm happy the commies need to pay through their nose for a product just based on the laws of demand and supply.
