When this news was spread on national Dutch news there was a very big upset, sadly this has never been followed up on. A more in depth review of this would be very interesting but I'm not sure the channel's other content align with what I would like to see there ( not the background of the ships, but insight in why the people responsible for violating those wargraves have not yet been identified ).

@mebsrea Found it, only one source which I can't post or YT removes my comment ( this is the 3rd try ). Appaling if true, and the article seems to be well written and researched. But no other 'source material' as that one site. I also can't find any follow up, so the evidence they send to authorities must not have been as good as they thought. Or it might have to do with the questionable legal status of the wrecks, I mean whole sections of the articel go into this for a reason. Whatever the legal status, this would apply as well to the wrecks in Iron Bottom Sound, and morally there is no difference. If true, I'm ashamed of my countrymen.

@glenchapman3899 so you claim ijn/ge/sov are 'not as couragious'? Guess what that other guy said about nationalism was true sadly

@glenchapman3899 Rear Admiral Toshihira Inoguchi surely knew what he was getting into and he choose to go down with Musashi. In fact the whole IJN naval campaign from that point ( Leyte gulf ) on would be hopeless and yet the US had to use nukes to break the country's back. The German navy.. well I would like to think the crew of the Bismarck could have chosen to not fight as hard as they did against hopeless odds... Or Scharnhorst? Not many 'succes stories' there but that's hard when they didn't win many naval engagements. Does not say anything about their courage. If you look at the Graf Spee, I would think the Germans actually had very gallant and capable naval officers. Russian navy... wait.. which navy? I'm sure they had some barges they could tow around with gun's who could bombard shore installations, but actual ocean going ships. But again I'm quite sure that you will find tales of courage there as well, there is nothig about Execter's performance which was only due to the nationality of her sailors. So you win, I can't name any Sovjet ship.. in fact I don't actually know a sovjet ship which fought other ships, only some old ships they had to tow around and which they used for shore bombardments. Happy?

@DawnOfTheDead991 That would be very weird considering the amount of bodies inside and around those wrecks. Anything used for burial is a grave. But I guess if I lived a long time ago and came upon the Egyptian pyramids filled with riches I would probably not be as 'ethical' as I am from behind a keyboard.

@glenchapman3899 bullshit, can't come up with extending boundaries after making a blanket statement. You clearly implied you won't find stories of courage under fire in the nations you mentioned.
