Classic Star Trek is like Pizza. Even when it's bad, you can still enjoy it.
1900
When Disney announced the Star Wars books weren't canon, I thought "Great! They've clearly got a very specific plan for the upcoming sequels." I was an idiot.

Patrick Stewart's performance in this film is nothing short of astonishing. You really see how a high-calibre actor can lift a movie to classic status.
480
The sarcasm, it's out of control! š
355
āTotal Recallā was a rubbery mess, but was also hugely entertaining. Iād take rubber masks, and a good script over CGI every time.
327
I watched The Matrix before the internet ruined everything. An unexpected classic!
249
If there's one thing I like more than action, and great story-telling it's diversity and box-ticking! Well done, the MCU!
151
My theory is this all occurs on one of Q's hemorrhoids.
138
I had no idea this movie was a misanthropic hatchet job. The marketing really did do a great job.
137
Iām told itās not the miserable, edgy, poorly-written mess that was āPicard Season 1ā, but Iām not taking any chances. š
135
I haven't seen it... I now know not to bother. Thanks Critical Drinker. P.S. I'm currently watching Amazon's "The Boys". Good call!
97
I was so stoked when I first heard about Marvel's idea of a multiverse. Now, if I never see another superhero movie, it'll be way too soon.
80
Rian Johnson really subverted expectations with "Last Jedi". For example, I was expecting it to be watchable.
77
That's a lot of wings.
46
Falling Down was a classic... You're kinda rooting for Michael Douglas's character at first, but gradually, you realise you're backing the wrong horse. The Burger employee was in desperate need of his face shooting off, though.
45
Next one... Predator 5: Assignment Miami Beach.
37
John Wick was successful, not because of the action, but because of the action-free, tense build-up. By the time you've seen Wick make his first kill, we're on the edge of our seats.
35
Why do women in cinema think that pulling themselves up means putting men down?
32
Yep. Dad here. I cried like a bitch.š
30
Having said all that, I'd still ride Noomi Rapace like a stolen bike, given the opportunity.
29
I don't think that's fair... Some of us find drug-addled lesbians throwing up, whilst swearing at Picard to be very much in the optimistic narrative of Star Trek.
27
I got through only two episodes of She Hulk. After the second one, I watched Lawrence of Arabia. LoA is such a great film, and if you watch it after watching She Hulk, it's even better!
24
Ā @novadust6195Ā Star Trek V is supermarket pizza, but put a little extra cheese on it, and you're all set. (Star Trek V had a lot of extra cheese)
23
Ā @jonathanlee5314Ā I'm a big Star Wars fan, and will even watch the more mediocre entries. Hell, I even watched the Holiday special. Twice. I have yet to watch all of "Rise of Skywalker". I can stand the gender politics, the racial double-standards (John Boyega sidelined), and even the lurching, incoherent plot, but it was just so. bloody. boring.
20
Ā @S13wildeĀ yeah, like I'm really gonna answer that question š
17
We will never see the likes of Star Trek NG's optimism again. Sadly.
17
Agreed. I enjoy my rug. It is ornate, with an interesting pattern, and I prefer it unpulled.
13
I feel sorry for Brie Larson, at this point. She's a reasonable actress, who just got caught up in all the "girl boss" cobblers, and ran with it. I hope her project works out.
12
I've got to be honest, here... The thought of this movie featuring a young and vital Indie has to be a draw.
10
Another great video from Angus McHaggis-Kilt.
10
Ā @Ensign_CthulhuĀ sadly, during interviews for Rise of Skywalker, it became apparent they completely changed direction after Last Jedi.
9
Conversely, has anyone seen "Boss Level" on Amazon? It must have cost about £1.50, but it's immensely entertaining.
9
@Swen discovery would be a dog turd that a purple-haired SJW fashioned into a pizza shape.
9
Ā @thedragon133Ā yeah, Picard was total dog shit. š
8
Wise words. If it's not LGBQXZ I'm not interested. Pointless diversity forever!
8
I'm looking forward to E.T.: The Video Game: The Movie.
7
Ā @NoonesbusinessĀ It's not like that's how it works in any other industry. It seems oddly specific to film.
6
Oh yeah, there's a second part. Jolly good.
6
I still haven't seen this film... I think its one of those films everyone else has seen and no one has
5
"I was confident it would live up to my expectations".... Were you though, really? A sequel? (entertaining review, though)
5
I'm still shocked he directed Aladdin. š
5
Ā @pst5345Ā Having cared for someone with dementia, I can confirm his performance was so authentic it was heartbreaking.
4
If I wasn't bald-as-a-coot, I'd dye my hair purple.
4
Ā @onion_windĀ just a fun action flick. No gender or identity politics, just action.
4
Has anyone seen the final product? Is it actually watchable? I've always enjoyed watching Klaus Kinski. Nosferatu was a classic.š
4
The title of this movie also answers the question "could I be arsed to watch this?"
4
Ā @josay3394Ā it's still got cheese. If there's nothing else in, a supermarket pizza will do. If there's nothing else on, Star Trek V is more than acceptible.
4
There's a lot of T2 clips in this review. It made me feel both nostalgic and slightly sad.
4
Ā @zlipusĀ To me, Prof X finally having a moment of clarity, and recalling the harm he caused was utterly stunning. Again, the acting made this scene.
3
You bloody love Brie Larson, just kiss and get it over with.
