@lukerhode8960 No, they're not. What he means is a NATO standard minefield, which are nowhere near what Russia is using. These are minefields that are, by themselves, fortress walls.

The T-80 was always known to be a superior platform in terms of raw performance factors. It was more expensive to own and operate than the T-72 or T-90.

The newer ones, purpose-built vehicles absolutely are. However, those aren't standard kit. They are absolutely better, but they're not what people have. It's cheaper to outfit an older AFV chassis than buy a remotely controlled mine clearing vehicle.

I see that you're using ft as a metric, but as an American, I can tell u none of us know how far 4921 ft is. I suggest yards and miles in that order.

xdigitaldeltax Badly. It will go badly because US Helos are shit in that game. A&S fixed that to an extent, but only USSR and Eurocorps should bother with helicopter insertions.

Ask not what you can do to the tank, but what the tank can do for you. We're going to be using tanks until we have orbital artillery as a mainstay of any conventional engagement, and even then, a tank will probably be recognized as a man wearing powered exoskeleton. Even if it only protects him from small arms and overpressure, that's still a tank bc it's filling the same role—just inside caves, bunkers, and buildings, this time. Additionally, orbital artillery and air power are not the same. Don't think of them like planes. They're not planes. It's a satellite with a delete button. if it is still in orbit, that means nobody could take it out of orbit. This is the same even in the case of spaceships with guns.

It's about context. If Porsche were an American company at the time, they probably would've been applied for eventually creating something that worked very well.

When you bring up European political parties, could you give a brief description of what their values are? American and European are very, very different, and, for example, the French far left and American far left only half of their values in common.

As long as the other guy doesn't have a tank, any tank is a good tank.

@cyruslupercal9493 I think you've forgotten that the US is helping Ukraine. The only real advantage we have over anyone is our god-tier logistics network. Everything else we do well is a result of the capability afforded by being able to fly a plane anywhere in the world without landing.

Played the beta. This is what the genre was always supposed to be. Nothing comes close. Eugen may have invented it, but Slytherin is gonna own it.

105mm is plenty good. It'll still fuck up any IFV it comes across, and Russia has a lot of IFVs. Additionally, it is resistant to artillery, which is also a big threat. Russian tanks are more capable in a straight up fight, sure, but that's why we have ATGMs.

I think an invasion across most points on the CN/RU border isn't feasible. Terrain is bad or roads are poor.

@generationkilled idk, man, Abrams are hungry.

@Fabrizio_Ruffo I'm not here to say if I agree or disagree with you; I'm here to say I saw how much you wrote and I read it. I may be the only one, but someone did. :)
