  7.  @crouchingwombathiddendropb6886  I gotta agree here. I've literally never met another half-filipino American who could speak Tagalog. Our mothers don't teach it to us and none of us know why. Filipinos are also weirdly conservative despite being victims of racism in America. There is no culture in the world that has been more successfully colonized the the Filipinos. It's really sad. I wish I had more connection to my mom's culture but other than food, she didn't share it with us and this story is the rule, not the exception.

  16. Yeah. Mexico City is weird. Like, it's a perfect example of why I hate planned capitals. The Spanish didn't fuck up the placement of other cities, so why this one became the capitol is beyond me.
