  1. Yup, Mulan and The Bride (Kill Bill) are fantastic heroines because they didn't have it easy, but they succeeded anyway. They rose above the challenge and those are the woman that I follow in real life. Well, not just women—men, too. Everyone has to earn my respect.

  2. You know, I really wanted to go full SJW on you but that bit about Thor sold me in your thesis. The women that we, as a society, look to as heroes are considered so highly because nothing was easy for them. In this very specific instance, yes, you are correct.

  3. Darth Vader is only a good villain because Anikin Skywalker was such a good hero. I don't believe that someone who has only seen IV–VI would think Vader is more interesting than Sidious, and Sidious is what made the Prequels so good to begin with.
