  1. You're not understanding the cultural landscape. The Taiwanese people don't give a fuck one way or the other who wins as long as they don't get hurt in the process. If the people even have a hint that their government can't win, then they will demand a surrender. They're all Chinese and the only people with a real stake in the game are the people at the top.

  3. It'll be the Anglosphere and Japan, but everyone else is better off waiting to see who wins. I really don't like the idea of letting Japanese soldiers into China, though. They're already violating naval treaties and shit. Their ships even have the same names and the still use the Rising Sun.
