  1. Once I used to work at an elementary school in Japan (as an English teacher), they still use the same game to decide who gets the surplus food. However when I just started the job I didn't know the rule, so I just gave one girl an extra carton of milk thinking it wasn't a big deal. However some students saw this and it caused a huge quarrel ending up with some students in tears !!! Ooops !!!!

  2. Yeah definitely a noticeable difference. I worked at an elementary school in Japan that had a lot of Brazilian students. One day I said to the class "who wants to sing a song?". All the brazilian kids wanted to sing and were really enthusiastic and then they noticed none of the Japanese students wanted to sing. Their reaction was priceless, they looked at the Japanese students like they were crazy for not wanting to sing a song !!
