  2. On a related note, in the great state of Texas, there is a murder defense available to the accused that is usually called the "he needed killing" defense. It's a justifiable homocide theory where the accused can argue that the deceased was such a horrible person that killing him served the public good, and if the jury agrees, the accused walks.

  3.  @jonplukehughes2807  Yes, several times over the years. The last case I recall was a man on trial who killed the dealer who sold his kid the drugs that the kid overdosed on.
