  1. I interviewed with LinkedIn many years ago when they were looking for someone to clean up the code in their first iOS app, which was in a dismal state. Trouble is, the person who would have been my boss in that job was the idiot who wrote their original app, who was in no way qualified to run a popsicle stand, let alone a software development group. At the end of the day, concluded that they were a pack of idiots and I didn't trust them with my information, so I tried to delete my account, which got me a two-week runaround before they finally took it down. I will never work there, I will never invest in them in any way, and I will never use their web site.

  2. I've always made a point of being very easy to get rid of. A couple of times in my life, I've heard through the grapevine that some woman who had turned me down wanted me to keep trying, and my answer to that has always been that life's too short to waste any time on head games.
