Former colleague of mine has a boy who was dangerously allergic to peanuts, and he went through a de-sensitization program over something like a year and a half where they started by giving him miligrams of peanuts, and by the end of it it was getting up to ten peanuts with no reactions. He doesn't need to keep an epi-pen with him now.
