Anyone griping about "gentrification" can get bent. Landowners have every right to sell or rent their property to the highest bidder.

Supply and demand. If you don't want to pay what the seller is asking, and someone else is, too bad for you. You're not entitled to the price you want just because you whine about "gentrification".

If there's a restaurant association in Queretaro, they should hire you to promote the city. You really make me want to go there and eat!

@vizsla8579 You must be a lot of fun at parties. Tell me, have you been a self-righteous jackass all your life, or is it something you picked up in college?

If Mexico isn't the friendliest place in the world, it's in the top two. The only other country I found that gives you a run for your money is Scotland.

Americans tend to pile up christmas cards on the fireplace mantel.

Your English is far better than my barely tourist-level Spanish. Don't worry about it.

I'm wondering if you've ever tried haggis or black pudding.

Regarding your looks, I'd say you're a fabulous babe, and your husband is a very lucky man.

Very romantic. Mazel Tov!

The only answer I knew was the Treaty of Quadalupe, but I didn't know it's actually Guadalupe Hildalgo. I didn't pick up much history on the beaches in Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and Los Cabos!

Well, that's something I wouldn't expect to find in Mexico.

I usually have bone marrow on bread. Spread it like it was butter.

I don't know about Bolillo, but a flan always improves my mood!

May there be love and laughter, in the heart of your home.

On my first trip to Puerto Vallarta, I met a friend there for dinner, and I was very surprised to learn that he wasn't welcome at the hotel bar where I was staying. We went to a restaurant with some other friends of his, and I would have checked out of that hotel in the morning, but he told me that all the hotels in town had the same policy.

BTW, Karen: you often ask for suggestions of what to cover in your videos, how about showing us the music and dance scene in Queretaro? Your town must have a couple of Ballet Folklorico groups, no?

Historically, " western" meant west of the holy land. Europe was west, China was east. In the USA, "western" usually refers to Cowboy territory: Texas, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, etc. California is as west as we've got, but we don't usually refer to California as western. We tend to call it the Left Coast.

Sounds like that dude throwing things needed a beat-down.

If I had attended your wedding, I would have sung this for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMou8boU6Ts Let me know if you like it!

This is the most romantic story I've seen in a long time. Mazel Tov from an American Jew in California!

All I knew about San Miguel before seeing this video was its name. Now I want to visit.

Go to Cuba. Take a look around. Learn something.

There's something about anonymity that brings out the worst in some people. It's certainly not limited to YouTube or to Spanish speakers. Some of them are movitivated by jealous, and some just feel shitty and want you to feel bad, too. They don't matter. twelve THOUSAND people have watched this video. Just think about speaking to that many people in a room.

My favorite pub in the UK is the Royal Oak in Edinburgh. If you get a chance to visit Scotland, I highly recommend it. Scots and Mexicans are neck-and-neck for hospitality in my experience.

I'll just mention that in the 1800s and early 1900s, it was very common for immigrants from any country to abandon their language and want their kids to speak English only. Italians, Polacks, Swedes, Germans, Russian Jews, and many others all lost their languages in one generation.

I wish your mom all the success in the world!
