This would be a just outcome: 1) plaintiffs end up owning Hertz lock, stock and barrel. 2) CEO does life in prison, all board members do twenty years, and forfeit all of their personal wealth to the victims. 3) every Hertz employee, at any level, who filed a false police report forfeits their entire net worth to the individual they slandered.

  2. Plaintifs should have litigated it and ended up owning Hertz outright. Accepting a settlement that doesn't include the entire chain of command at Hertz doing as much time in jail as the plaintifs did isn't justice.
