  2. Many years ago, I had a run-in with Cox cablevision. Their franchise agreement required them to wire up anyone in the county who wanted it, and they lied to me and told me that my neighbor had refused to let them run a line across his property. I went and talked to him about it, and he told me nobody had ever asked him. So, I called up the county cable administrator, whose full-time job is to threaten Cox with losing their franchise, and they showed up within the week to connect me any my neighbor.
