  1. The government is obviously wrong here. The constitution forbids excessive fines, and it also says that private property can't be taken without just compensation. I'm not holding my breath for the court to get it right though, since they allowed New London to steal Suzette Kelo's house, and she wasn't even behind on her taxes. It's time to bring back allodial title.
