The CCP is murdering Uighurs and Tibetans as we speak, but don't forget that they also murdered some 70 million people in the 50s and 60s, most of them Han Chinese. The CCP is far and away the worst enemy China has ever had. Their crimes dwarf the atrocities of the Japanese occupation troops.

  2. The great lesson of the Soviet collapse is that all governments, no matter how evil and brutal, ultimately depend on the people's permission to exist at all. Xi had better figure this out, or he'll get the Ceaucescu treatment he so richly deserves.
