  1. Don't forget that it's also a 45 mile stretch that the Russians will lose a lot of armor, transport and men trying to take. This is the war in which tanks became obsolete.

  2.  @alistuzlak  The Russians are pulling tanks out of mothballs because they're losing tanks at a furious rate. There is no tank on earth that can withstand direct hits on the top deck from artillery shells, and Ukraine's demonstrating that tanks are obsolete in the age of close observation by drones. Russia is not as powerful as every one assumed, including Pewtin.

  3. Sure they can, just like the USSR took Afghanistan. What they can't do is afford to occupy it while the sanctions gut their economy. Russia can't afford Pewtin's ego.
