  1. She seems to have really thought it through: nobody can stay on their feet, so maximise the speed and control of rolling. Maybe the equivalent of inventing a new way of doing the high jump.

Yes indeed, but I was watching the move halfway up the wall: she doesn't pull his centre of gravity up on his front paws, but uses that bit of traction to get the back legs up and give just a bit more push. Kind of like the way human professional jumpers (ballet dancers, basketball players) get more hang time. The bulk of the effort is from the back legs. We had a little semi-feral who was a great jumper. She'd jump to the top of a six foot fence (in a single leap), and when she was young she could jump a little higher than the top, so she landed gently after a decent of about 50mm.

  3. Yes indeed. What struck me was 1. So that's why the bolt face matters, and 2. Oh, recoilless pistol (is not much use).

  4. Slower and fatter bullet: something like a .45" revolver, with a small charge of propellant. Try early detonation so that the bullet flies into the shock wave. Please immobilise the target. Great footage of explosions.
