I see your point, but the virtue of yyyy-mm-dd is that files with the date at the beginning of the filename all line up neatly in a file manager. That and the fact that it's unambiguous (at the moment).

@marklundeberg7006 Or, increasingly possible with the rise of AI, Saint Fulgentius' Day, or The Feast of the Circumcision. In the early 20th c., it was quite the thing for author's to date their Prefaces with a saint's day.
