  1. The people who voted for him aren't as bad as the people who could have voted against him, but couldn't get off their fat arses and vote at all. About half of Trump voters are probably victims of delusion or other forms of imperfect relationships with reality. But the non-voters don't have that excuse. From outside the USA, we see that about 70% of electors had no objection to Trump: and our view of the USA as a potential partner is shaped by that.
