Ooooooof that's grim

That seems to be the consensus, hey? Wonder if there's other stores that fit the bill other than WalMart or Target or if those two are the main contenders for this market...
85
Exactly! It's fast fashion regardless of if you buy it from the department store or the designated mall outlet ππ

These points are coming up lots, Target just wins over it's competitors (if even by a small margin). Thanks for sharing!

Hey there! This is a really interesting and important point, thank you for bringing this up. It's a huge shame that Target markets themselves as slightly more upscale to appeal to the demographic that wouldn't shop at Walmart for aesthetic purposes. This seems to be happening across the board with companies marketing themselves as higher quality to appeal to a higher tax bracket. Thanks again for taking the time to share this, we'll keep this viewpoint in mind for future videos β¨π€

Hadn't even considered the lighting being such a pro in darker places, that's a cool point! Thanks for sharing and joining us here, Joe π€

And going in with a plan is always good too! Get in and get out πͺ

Woah, this is the second or third comment we've seen mentioning how WalMart doesn't sell oat milk (foreshadowing for next week's video? π) - thanks for sharing, Sarah!

Hey if it works it works, just wish more people didn't buy into it all - but hopefully videos like these keep people thinking about stuff like this when they walk into a store ππ
4
Okay well that's freakin sweet π³
3
Hahaha catch Levi saying it like that at 5:25 π

It's important! One second you're deviating from the list because you forgot something, the next you've overspent by a long shot and end up with so much you don't need π
2
Catch the sneaky tarjey at 5:25 lol

Guess Target was either the pioneer or has adopted it in a better/more effective way! It's not called the Walmart effect for a reason π
2
that's totally it π€£π

Hey there, thanks so much for tuning in!!
2
Yeah, there were quite a few in Canada! Guess they couldn't handle us π€·ββοΈπ€£

Honestly... fair.

Hey there, thanks so much! We're working hard to get quality content out weekly, we're glad it's resonating. Thanks again π€
2
Yeah we had quite a few here! Guess we were just too cool for them π€·ββ

Noted! Thanks for being a part of the team π

That's actually a great point, I think it's more targeted (haha) towards the "just-for-fun" shoppers and not those who are actually trying to get their shopping done quickly and efficiently π€·ββοΈ

Ohhhhh dang you should watch our Gillette video then π³ππΌ

Have never heard of Target for skincare but I guess that makes sense if you have $ off. Seems like a hassle to go to a separate store if they're offering the same products but π€·ββ
1
Agreed. π€π€
1
Yeah lots of people have commented ceiling height and overall size being a huge factor as to why Walmart creates a more anxiety-inducing shopping experience!
1
A general consensus in the comment section is people find Target's selection to be of a higher quality. Would you say so as well??

We actually have a video that goes into this a bit! Check out the first in our IKEA series here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-rnxFDsnns&t=211s

Youβre doing fine ππΌπ₯°
1
Good to know! Have heard they're drastically more expensive than WalMart or other competitors
1
Walmart's less user-friendly huh?
1
Just as long as you're not unironically purchasing Twilight DVDs on sale at Target, then we're good π€£π

Thanks for joining us here!!!

π honestly at this point they're in everyone's system anyway

Gotten a lot of replies in this vein, that makes a lot of sense. What other stores would you say are in this vein that aren't Walmart or Target? I can name a few Canadian examples...

Gotta get those Sour Strips π€·ββπ€·ββ
