@louise9973 I really appreciate you sharing your personal life experience as you came across many different/unique people and cultures throughout your journey. This is to me emphasize the human experience. For me, as a Muslim, it has always been One God, One Message, and One Humanity. Most people regardless of their background are much closer to each other than the politicians who claim to “represent” them. Thank you for the great and honest discussion which I’ve only seem to have with people who travelled a lot. Most people are in bubble can’t seem to have open and honest discussion due to the fear of the “unknown.” I wish you the best in this life and hereafter and I hope you continue with your studies as well. @louise9973 So please explain what God or spiritually that isn’t in a book or that isn’t a religion? The Creator of the heavens and earth does talk about some people especially those in power who corrupt and change the original teachings due to them selling out to worldly possessions that won’t benefit them in the hereafter. I don’t blame God for the mistakes of mankind since mankind was given FREE WILL and a contract with God to be tested on this planet. I blame mankind who failed to uphold the true teachings of God. @louise9973 Well, to be honest since I’m younger I haven’t had that much life experience as you had. I’m in my 30’s born in Somalia came to the West as a young child. At that time I spoke 5 languages but unfortunately now I’m down to 2 and half. Haha As the saying goes, if you don’t use it, you lose it. I’ve met and interacted with very interesting and diverse people growing up. I’ve studied political science and for the last 15 years I’ve been studying and researching theology, philosophy, and other ideologies while working immensely. I have plans to travel several unique places one particular place near my homeland called Socotra Island. I’m not sure if you’ve ever been there but it’s beautiful. That’s pretty much. Also, the quote you posted reminded me a similar quote from over 1,400 by a Muslim Scholar…. “The world is 3 days: As for yesterday, it has vanished along with all that was in it. As for tomorrow, you may never see it. As for today, it is yours, so work on it.” — Hasan Al-Basri Again, you’re thinking of this life is not that much different from ours to be honest. @louise9973 Religion and spiritually are NOT different since the very essence of the concept of religion deals with the SOUL spiritually. You can’t have one without the other. I get that you’ve seen people in power misuse the true Message/Teachings (religion) for their own selfish acts but CORE principle doesn’t do such things. Most wars you see today is actually not about religion but rather it’s about resources and geopolitics where powerful governments controlled by greedy capitalist/multinational corporations want to steal the rich resources of underdeveloped countries. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing." 3) Holy Quran 3:20 20 "Allah says: “So if they dispute with you, say ‘I have submitted my whole self to Allah, and so have those who follow me.’ And say to the People of the Scripture and to the unlearned: ‘Do you also submit yourselves?’ If they do, then they are on right guidance. But if they turn away, your duty is only to CONVEY the Message. And in Allah’s sight are all of His servants.” 4) Holy Quran 5:99 99 "The Messenger's duty is but to proclaim the Message. But Allah knoweth all that you reveal and you conceal." 5) Holy Quran 42:48 48 "But if they turn away - then We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; you are only to CONVEY the Message. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful." Holy Quran 49:13 13 “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allāh is the most righteous1 of you. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing and Aware.” This is the concept of ONE Human Race as other verses show how mankind were created in different languages and uniqueness as they were honored by God to rule our planet temporarily. I understand you grew up as a Catholic in the West, and I would hope if you take some time to research Islam without media or other biases just so we can have an understanding of what my faith states but not what those in power or few agents do.
