Jews and Christians are binding to only what the Quran confirms in their scriptures. And confirming stories from previous scriptures is not supposed to be a demonstration of qurans authoritative status, but a demonstration of it being dominant and a criterion over what jews and christians have.

@fred1534 Yes the Quran says: none change the word/words (kalima/kalimat) of Allah, But the word/words of Allah does not refer to the scriptures, but to the decree of Allah and His promise and judgement... Again the Quran clearly says that people of the book were entrusted to preserve the Taurat but did not carry it, and that they concealed much of it, and that they corrupted the speech (Kalam) of Allah, and wrote books with their hands and said this is from Allah...

@fred1534 I'm not aware of the accuracy of your claim about specifically 80000 variants, but as you said those are quiraat (recitations), thing that the prophet has told. (The Quran being revealed on 7 ahruf, quiraat being combinations of those 7 ahruf).

Concerning the evidence for incorrupted islamic scriptures in human history, well, the Quran say that throughout history people have been corrupting the revelation, so we are supposed to find corrupted scriptures not preserved ones... Plus, there is a gap of more than 1000 years between moses and the eurliest manuscripts of the old testement, and 100 years between jesus and the eurliest manuscripts of the new testement, You can't give evidence of all what has been circulating during those gap periods...

Criterion (furqan) is another word used for the Quran, but it doesn't convey the same meaning as dominant (Muhaymin), Criterion means distinguishing truth from falsehood, confirming the truth and abolishing falsehood, So unlike musadiq (confirming) and Muhaymin (dominant), this word furqan (criterion) is used to describe the authority of the Quran over any scripture or belief including corrupted ones...

Allah never invited Muhammad "to look at previous scriptures as confirmation to the Quran". and a commentator saying that Muhammad is dominant over the Quran, does not change the fact that this is not what the Quran says, and at the opposite of what you claimed, the earliest exegesis says that this statement is wrong, the verse is clear [5 : 48], it is the Quran Which was sent confirming and dominant over what was sent before it of the book.

The source of the Quran is God, and any story that God has revealed in His Quran is true. (The Quran says: du lqarnain «reached the seting of the sun», not, "had found where the sun sets").

There is no «historical evidence» that the Quran neglect or does not take into account (by contradictiong it for example), and the Quran does uniquely affirm many historical evidences. The message of muhammad does not require a previous text that agrees with him in full, because the message of muhammad is the final dominant revelation, the preserved truth, the criterion over all texts and beliefs...

@CustomGamesStudios Allah is the Arabic word for God (elohim) who is One, all-knowing, the creator of heavens and earth, All-Mighty, invisible, immortal..., and Muhammad is a prophet that Jews knew was coming, and both Allah and Muhammad can be double checked by the previous scriptures, even after all the corruption that accrued in them. What is preserved of the previous scriptures is what ever aligns with the Quran, not whatever doesn't contradict it, because even what doesn't contradict the Quran, if not confirmed by it, can be true or false. The Quran doesn't just confirm cherry picked verses from the bible, the Quran clarifies discrepancies in the bible. Prophet Muhammad made different clearcut verifiable prophecies, time and space bound, in different fields (battles, conquests, civilisations development, politics, economic, architecture, morals, health, nature...) I think a lot of them are known, and you can search the topic yourself.

@CustomGamesStudios The Quran says that jews were concealing the truth about the coming prophet and other prophecies (about a new law, a new house of God), because of envy. But again, even after this corruption we can find remnant of those prophecies both in the old and the new testement. We can say based on the bible that the prophet that jews were expecting was not the messiah, because when they asked john to introduce himself they mentionned twice, Elijah, the prophet, and the messiah seperatly. There are also verses in the bible indicating god replacing the jews with another people after they reject the messiah. And there are hints ascribed to jesus about a messenger after jesus and a new book seperate from the old one... (All what i'm saying is based on verses that i have already read, you can ask me about any point and i'll try to get the references). Again, both Allah and muhammad can be double checked by your own scriptures, Your scriptures are contradictory (because they were corrupted by men), muhammad clarify all the descrepancies in your contradictory scriptures, by affirming the truth and abolishing falshood. What is realy suspicious is the name yehweh itself, there are a lot of mysteries surronding it (not being pronounced, being replaced by a tetragramaton, being forgoten, being attributted to different persons...). I didn't say that i don't want to share prophecies of muhammad, i gave you a sammary about them and i said you can search the topic yourself, because its a long one and takes time. But i can give you exemples both from Quran and sunnah, both are from God, and again, fulfilled prophecies are criterion for a true prophet based on your own bible.
