i don't think it's that common bro. i remember hearing scientists saying that our universe is very hostile and life like simple cells might never had to chance to form something more complex.

@Jed67 for some reason you are thinking that i am against the belief that there are life out there. i said that i don't think that life is common. i was never against the belief that there are life beyond earth. i also said that i think our universe is too hostile for many life to survive, not all of them. as for advanced lifeforms with intelligence that can rival or be greater than our, i will have to see them to believe it. this is all because i think we got extremely lucky with our evolution. had our ancestor decided to live in water, we would've been like dolphins or killer whales. instead of claws evolving into hands, we would've gotten claws evolving into flippers. how to do you build things with flippers? what happen in the DNA of an octopus?

@Jed67 yeah, there are lots of planets and some of them might contain bacteria or other small organisms, but how many of them do you think survive? potential intelligent life on those planets could be killed off by asteroids or some insane natural disasters. our universe isn't peaceful and surviving long enough to evolve into an intelligent complex being isn't easy. i don't know about space being endless, but this is all that i'm trying to say.

i think majority of our population believe that there are life out there, but intelligence life equal to or greater than our is something i have to see to believe.
