  5. The correct word I think is family. I have several dogs, two cats and a bird. They are family, not biological, but adopted. None the less family. You do the best you can for them, and one day have to let go. The woman who you mentioned, seems to be a stupid uncaring person. A miss judgement of character. People are deceptive. You went by what was presented before you. I have also said no more animals. Problem is there are so many no one wants to care for. Like you, I am a poor foster.
