  1. Wouldn’t the higher temp than the surface make sense from a heat transfer perspective and lower particle density? Don’t the flares originate from deeper, hotter plasma? Like the massive heat-sinks necessary on the ISS

  2.  @abebuckingham8198  But considering thermal conductivity is based around the particle density, it isn’t applicable in a vacuum. And the further you get from the Sun, the fewer particles exist to transfer the energy as opposed to the surface
