  12.  @Thor.Jorgensen  Aren’t their “subsidies” just a tax return of funds they’ve already paid through the year? Regardless, this is the problem. Govt welfare is more addictive than crack. And ppl are socialists because they have major egos and control issues, so of course they’re the only ones that can fix the problems. “Real communism” hasn’t been tried, after all. Nothing is more permanent than a temporary govt program. Food is the most basic necessity of life. Yada yada I thought we all knew this already yada yada.

  13.  @Marqan  never said they should. We’re talking about their money to begin with. They can just write off the expense against their tax filings. That’s literally how every business works. Why don’t they feed the population? Because you like variety in your diet? That’s a luxury that only exists because of trade and it’s only a ‘thing’ because your country actually HAS other crops to trade against. Here’s the thing, you’re putting the cart before the horse on this issue. Most ppl live in cities and politicians know that. They also know gen pop is ignorant and generates the short-sided response of “it doesn’t affect me” when it does further down the line. For some weird reason, ppl seem to understand that war in the Middle East affects gas prices down the line, but you really cant see the same issues regarding food? This is the same short-sided argument climate activists use to block traffic but don’t realize they’re creating more pollution from cars idling for hours. This is the same hubris displayed through history as “Let them eat cake!” You can’t eat money. I can’t believe I have to explain this lol

  14.  @Kivas_Fajo  rich farmers? Bruh…they aren’t rich. You may think so because their equipment is expensive but that’s not how economics 101 works. Income is only relevant when weighed against expenditures. That’s literally the point of filing taxes. I’m not trying to be rude but this is super basic stuff we’re talking about here..
