What is the responsible way going forward? Facebook and other platforms and social media – including search engines and Youtube – are functioning at the level of a utility where they serve millions of people and they should be held to the same standard as a telephone utility with oversight by a regulatory agency such as the FCC that is subject to the provisions of the constitution.

@acereraks1195 . . "Just use other websites" . . You can say the same about any telephone company -- use another one -- however, we must guarantee our access to free speech when they are in control of the free exchange between millions of people . . While we are aware that big companies constantly buy up smaller ones so that no guarantee can ever be maintained simply by changing our telephone company or internet utility -- therefore oversight by the FCC under the provisions of the constitution is what protects our free exchange for communication and should apply equally to any platform -- by telephone or internet, that is responsible for the free exchange of information between millions of people.

@acereraks1195 . . "So the smaller companies just shouldn't sell themselves that's all. Plenty don't " . . So we should ask smaller struggling companies not to sell out to them -- while our free exchange of information should remain censored at will by large corporations? -- freedom for unlimited corporate control over millions of people in when and how they can communicate -- and regularly and arbitrarily deny service and engage in other forms of censorship? . .

@acereraks1195 . . The control of information exchange between millions of people -- shared on common platforms -- are functioning utilities -- equally important today as telephone -- while many would say of greater importance today -- I challenge you to deny this. Internet utilities today -- as in telephone -- should be regulated on that basis because we recognize their importance in the free exchange of information as a part of that guaranteed under the constitution. To expect less is equal to accepting book burning in this country by corporate interests who control access and exchange within these platforms.

@acereraks1195 . . All major internet platforms for information exchange are regularly involved in censorship today -- those platforms on which many people depend for free exchange and in some cases their income -- while corrupt interests hide equally as well behind a corporate facade as they can in promoting corrupt forms of legislation and bureaucracy within government. Establishing the same precedent as has been set for telephone exchange guaranteed under provisions of the constitution is necessary. Telephone companies are not complaining or attempting to deny service for political or other arbitrary reasons. Internet utilities have nothing to lose except their sense of unlimited right over our free exchange of information.
