A suggestion, an internal cam track and rollers attached to the vanes to maintain the close tolerance as described. The rollers wouldn't be exposed then in the combustion chamber

@Sawbuck . . certain of these of which seem to go away and nothing is heard again about them -- no update on something of apparently great potential that has reached the prototype stage. The fact that something disappears as if it never existed when an update would be expected for something of such great potential in a few cases indicates not failure of some kind, but some other reason for their absence. In today's environment, many people are more comfortable in waiting for repetition, allowing assumption to reign lest someone calls them a name, like something attached to the word "conspiracy" -- a word that in fact has no value in any conversation beyond a relevant case in court where a prosecutor can apply additional charges if warranted. In any other context, the only value is in distraction and the attempt to discredit in fear-based, shared response on an unacknowledged basis by which no consideration remains on an individual basis. No value has ever been created or recognized without the involvement of individual perspective and the initiative that equates to individual responsibility.
