@sasmitvaidya I guess calling it a dumb language was kinda mean, but she ain't wrong... english is so much less complex than every other language it's like comparing movies with drawn childrens pictures... And for the websites that don't state english as the easiest language is because a lot of them mean the easiest languages for english speakers to learn, but also a lot of them just are sensitive about their language being less than somebody elses

@sasmitvaidya nah fam... english is definitely the easiest language that's why it's universal... it used to be russian, but people weren't able to learn it soo... like people are able to speak english, but find it harder to speak languages from the same family as their native tongue

@sasmitvaidya I don't know her or if she's from india, but everywhere if you can speak english it's impressive if it's not your first language cause no matter how easy a language can be it's still very hard to learn especially without ever travelling and living in a place where everyone speaks english

@sinnersouls Then why are asians known to speak the best english worldwide? Even the ones that are considered bad at english speak basically at the level of native english speakers except they have a bit of an accent

@pensatoreseneca just because you say you have traveled most of asia doesn't mean people are gonna take your word for it Just a look online or videos of foreigners talking in asia to strangers shows that their english is just as good as westerners from europe and not england

Those three words are completely different "laid" is past participle of "lay" "lie" is used as a "verb" and a "noun" "lain" is past participle of "lie" If native english speakers won't be able to answer the difference that means that people can just learn english and speak better at it that native speakers which is crazy and by trying to argue my point you just proved it furthermore.

I get that the history they teach where you're from has been changed a lot to fit the narrative, but as u said the the worldwide language is from a place that's powerful well russia has been the most powerful many times throughout history and back then it was the worldwide language actually it's quite recent right before english and the worldwide language is the one with most speakers of it so it was russian plus now there's a very little amount of Russians and there used to be many, but after Russia defeated hitler like over 50% of them died sooo...

@yltraviole English was the worldwide language before internet existed and so russia and usa were the biggest rivals and so english was chosen between the two

English grammar is the easiest and most simple thing about the language the hardest part would be pronunciation I'm very surprised you said the grammar is hard I mean I guess it is by itself hard, but compared to all other languages it's very easy

"rule expectations"? seriously? That's an awful way to prove that english is hard... there's many reasons why english is easier that other languages, but english not having "gender" words alone is the reason why it's easiest

@derpfaceonigiri4950 most languages have different grammar placements when referring to time including plus other complex things that the english language is lacking... why is everyone failing miserably at proving english is hard? I'd even do a better job at proving it

@mataga9224 mandarin is not an international language it's not a language that people are required to learn although in the near future it's going to be and since children will lear it from a young age it will be easy for them...

@mataga9224 you didn't use logic writing the first statement and for the second statement you should brush up on your education cause yes mandarin is the next "english" language and because ppl will be required to learn it fute generations will be fluent in it so it will be considered easy since so many none chinese people will speal it doesn't take a genius so use that unfortunate brain of yours
