  1. I find it quite bizarre to claim that the world would be 'underpopulated', since the world has more people than ever before. Yes, there's clearly a poor age distribition, but this is mainly caused by the huge baby boom after WWII. The economic implications of having children is just one of the many reasons why people want/don't want children. Low fertility rates in certain parts of the world are actually a blessing for mother earth and there's a simple solution for local workforce issues: immigration.
