"In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth..." Highly Improbable? No. Intentional and destined. Icy world? All part of His purpose.

Sounds like a very, very patient alien with a radio transmitter.

That which is called "artificial intelligence" is merely an inference engine. And, garbage in - garbage out.

The climate on this and all planets have been changing daily since the formation of each planet. The fanciful notion that humanity is changing the climate on this planet is just plain silly. Not sure how this video ends, as I became bored and closed the window.

I dreamed I was a butterfly last night. Or, maybe I am a butterfly today, dreaming I am a human.

Wishful thinking.

Interesting.

Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.

"How Big Is the Universe?" Larger than a bead box and smaller than 1.01 universes. Uh, the narrator makes some pretty uncomplementary and unsubstantiated claims in this anti-human tale. Mighty, mighty, mighty speculative! Scientific truths are the most fleeting. I prefer a much more reliable Επιστήμη, as Επιστήμη is prediction, that being the Tanakh.

Neptune looks cold.

Gee. That's bizarre.

@glenmorgan4597 posted something very funny. I was paraphrasing a Chinese philosopher “Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.” ― Zhuangzi But, I like yours better!

Impressive.

"What Would Happen If Betelgeuse Burst Right Now?" I would grab my telescope and camera and run outside to take a picture.

@thanhnguyensolo Scientific truths are the most fleeting. I suppose you believe in the established scientific fact that light and fire are immutably liked and you cannot have one without the other? I assume you believe that sound is an event which cannot be reproduced? I assume you subscribe to the Michelson corpuscular notion of light? I could go on, but suffice it to say that science is a process. A possibility occurs to you and you run and experiment. You publish the results. Someone is triggered by your experiment and runs another. After many experiments have been run, some great mind assembles them all into a special or general theory and everyone tries to disprove that theory and after a couple hundred years, if no one can it becomes a scientific law - until it is eventually disproved, as they all are. Climate change is not science, it is Science, a religion based on admittedly faulty measurements and projection. No experiments. Nothing reproducible. Read a book!

Kind of alien.

Genesis 2:17: Thus, God meant for the earth to be the eternal home for mankind. It was to be filled with obedient humans who would care for it and live forever on it.

Wondered about this in 1962, when I was in the grade.

There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

@WSCLATER posted, "Its not real." Oh? What is real?

@WSCLATER posted, "You start by making and confirming real observation." Works for visual or photographic astronomy. Most of astrophysics, however, are mathematics. How else could bad mathematicians come up with the notion of "dark matter", a substance which cannot be detected by any means.

Nope. No edge. If you move long enough in one direction, you end up where you started.
