  1. There is no such thing as "permanently discrediting". What a toxic way of thinking. I'm not a fan of Ben Shapiro; he's a lightweight intellectual at best, but if someone says one stupid thing (which everyone tends to do about one thing or another at some point) that really has no connection to any other points he makes. You should take everything everyone says at face value. That is the only way democracy will properly work. Don't "permanently discredit" people based on stupid arguments they sometimes make, it is dangerous.
