  1. No matter what it is, it's not islam. Islam is a religion of peace, someone once told me. And I know a muslim that is liberal, therefore islam in general can't have any issues with fundamentalism and implying otherwise would be islamophobic. Fundamentalist islam is not real islam. It's... something else. Just a lot of ill-minded people who happen to have one thing in common. Pure coincidence.

  3. Technically open marriages are in line with evolution, now that women can control their fertility. There is no more risk of the husband ending up supporting the gene passing of another man. On the other hand, it does create an extra risk of either spouse falling in love with someone else and breaking the marriage apart. But strictly speaking.... birth control made this a semi-viable possibility

  5. About your example of the levelling of houses in Palestine, I think the "why?" of the civilians that usually complain about that comes from the fact that it was not them that fired the missiles. Hamas uses these tactics so that they have human shields against a counter attack. The civilian whose house got bombed didn't have anything to do with it, it's Hamas that put them in this situation and then Israel that finalises the bombing. They're caught in the middle and are mostly angry at the one that did the bombing, but really should understand it's both Hamas and Israel that caused this. As long as they won't realise this and blame only Israel, Hamas will get more volunteers and the situation will perpetuate itself...
