  1. ⁠ @NoxAeterna-wf4iv bureaucracy and hierarchy are built into states by definition. This includes democratic centralism, which is still a hierarchical power structure. A workers state is not a workers state unless the workers materially hold all power. Otherwise we might as well call a liberal parliament “the voice of the people” just because we can vote and theoretically hold power. No, who materially holds the power is what matters. And materially there are institutions and positions of power filled by a small group of people whose decisions are enforced unto the general populace by a special enforcement institution such as police/military. A state that is governed by a vanguard party is a vanguard state, not a worker’s state. That the vanguard acts in the best interests of the workers makes this material reality no different. This misunderstanding is why in a “worker’s state” three men could use their positions of power to dismantle the revolution, against the will of the people. And why Russia is capitalist today. Structure the revolution like this again, and watch how revisionist agents in positions of power kill it time and time again.
