  1. Oh absolutely. And they're succesful too. They made the majority of the world believe that US soldiers made up 95% of the forces in Europe and made Omaha the reason D-day was succesful rather than a screwup that cost many US lives and almost cost the Allies the operation. They love putting everyone else down and boasting about their own contribution. Another nice one is the idea that during the Cold War, Western Europe was helpless and 'Murica protected them as the hero they are, rather than the fact that the Western allies needed eachother desperately to make do and it was very much a mutual need.
