  2. Not really... The Nazis attempted to EXTERMINATE AN ENTIRE RACE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. The British let millions die because of bad management. Both are responsible for millions of deaths, but the one that tried to put an entire race in concentration camps to systematically murder them is obviously a lot worse

  3. The Roman empire is pretty much the basis for all of European civilisation, which today is by far the most dominant one in the world. The British empire brought industrialisation to this civilisation, essentially creating the modern world we have today. In my opinion, the basis of European civilisation is more impressive than a very important improvement upon European civilisation. After all, where would we (including the British empire itself) be without the basis?

  6. Well, four or so wars led to the Dutch invading Britain and installing him as king, so yeah. And even when we were friendly, our empires still competed, with or without wars

  7. That´s not something to be proud of, imo. I respect Britain more because they did NOT attempt to conquer all of Europe, even when they could.

  10. Definition of empire: an extensive group of states or countries ruled over by a single monarch, an oligarchy, or a sovereign state. America: a sovereign state that controls islands like Guam, has protectorates such as Puerto Rico. Empire. Though a small one even by today´s standards.
