Europe is not going more right-wing. More like, current ruling parties and, more importantly, the European Commission have gotten disjointed from general population. They do everything for green policies, which are inherently anti-industry and anti-growth. The right wing parties oppose this among other things, and thus it's feeding them voters, who would otherwise never vote for someone like them, particularly after Brexit. People simply vote to benefit their wallets, which are getting thinner and thinner with every new green or ESG policy pushed through.
