Roman, I recall from the times of Iron curtain, families in Germany, that got torn apart by the split of Germany started coming to Hungary, specifically to Balaton to have family meetups, so maybe it would be worth looking at countries, that both Europeans and Russians can visit easily as tourists and where you'd be safe. Given how things are right now, I'd look into Turkey... And yes, I know, how much you "love" Atatürk airport.
