Let me debunk the wage argument. What is the wage, that the owner actually has to shill out, to repeair product he owns, if he could buy the tools and replacement parts and were provided with easy to read schematic? The answer is 0. Yet production companies like Apple or John Deer lobby extensively to prevent repairability of goods they produced, or force their technicians be the only option and thus more expensive. It has gone so far, actually, that US farmers have been given exemption from DMCA to crack their tractors software, so they can service them them selves and EU had to mimplement regulation, to force Apple (and other phone manufacturers) to start making user replacable battery in new models. Just look at Louis Rossmann's channel, how hard it is to repair stuff with access to these restricted.
