Not to mention, it distorts the information about the market itself! How are you going to push through a policy to eleviate worker shortage, when there actually is none, or where is one in a different field, that get's obscured by this nonsense?!

@tiagodagostini Not really, he understands quite well. Selling or buying, if you fail to disclose something important or lie about it, you intentionally make someone make a mistake. That is very definition of fraud. Here companies are either lying about their intention to hire, or fail to disclose true purpose for which they're advertising.

Really given what effect this has on the market, this practice needs to be severely penalized. I'm talking at least two years worth of total compensation of the highest paid employee or contractor in that company, if a position failed to fill within six months, was removed or became vacant within two years of filling and/or mass layoff happened (eg. affects concurring positions),. per position affected. I was unemployed for two years because of this, I visited half my country looking for a job.
