  1. Louis, this is not QR code menus being bad idea. This is the company being idiots, for having QR code ad space instead of QR code menu. I was in Romania last year. You'd be surprised, just how few people our age (there is about ten year gap between us) actually speak English over there. Even in tourist towns like Oradea, which lies on the border with Hungary! I got saved by one such QR code menu, because the restaurant only had paper menu in Romanian, but one picture later, I had English menu from their mobile webpage in the palm of my hand and I could order for both me and mom.
