  1. Or, you could go full bizzaro like me. I'm currently in the process of building my new gaming/work station. I have a dock already, so I can attest they are a huuuge creature comfort, wrote my bechalor's thesses on a 4 monitor setup with only a laptop for computing power. No file transfering, no cloud neceseary and when I needed to go to the library, just picked up the laptop and off I went, while having a proper ergonomic keyboard and mouse. A while later, I got introduced to the wonders of KVM switching... and then some serious crossbreeding happened in my brain. "Why can't I share a single I/O betwene a docked laptop for work and a beast desktop for gaming?" I thought. The truth is, you absolutely can! Dock to KVM to periferals and your'e done. You're literarly three key strokes from either gaming or work duties.
