Imagine performing ungodly things for your government in the name of some abstract, higher morality that necessitates treating people like chess pieces only to, in gratitude for your years of service and mental/emotional burden for having extinguished so much life, have your blood and associates run down in the streets like a dog and being "disappeared" yourself. Red states should just pass their own individual, constitutional amendments to have state- and county-wide electoral colleges instead of direct votes, thereby ceding further political power to their predominantly conservative, rural populations. The best we can hope for is that they shore up their own local influence...and that's assuming that the Republicans and Democrats are somehow NOT the different sides of the same elitist coin and that empowering one would make a genuine difference.

Without a wall, the Mexicans can just YEET them over the border into our court so it becomes our problem. If you build a wall though, that traps the undesirables on THEIR side and suddenly, they're put in the difficult position of either deporting or sustaining hordes of feckless eaters that bring crime and resentment.
