This has never happened to me, but incidents like it are why I've stopped sleeping around. Once I realized the accusations they could make or that they could scissor my equipment off in my sleep (or outright kill me), that was it. It's not worth the risk.

The Pool Dude may've gone home alone but, he actually went home free of her toxic company. Dudes that chastise him for "being alone" need to work on being autonomous and largely self-fulfilled (still have friends, family, and community if they're worthy of your devotion; no man is an island). That impulse is also Bay'Tuh, because you're acting in the female frame. Determining your worth by your capacity to get a girl makes her the prize and gives her the power, because she becomes the man-maker. That's not reality and its not an acceptable way to live if you're a self-respect man.

Don't take women out to eat as a first date, she's got to earn that. Personally? For first dates I do walks in the park, swims in the rec center pool (that one's great because it generally strips away the makeup and clothing layers to show me what I'm dealing with whiling giving me an excuse to show off), or hikes (which test their hardiness and fitness). Ultimately though, never take out a girl to something unless it is something you're already doing for yourself on the regular. Most men don't dine out alone.

@snicksmusic I think you've gotta firmly set some boundaries the next time you see her, if you haven't already, or apply the consequences, if you have. That is my assessment as a fellow man who has previously dealt with what I call "wanton clingers", but my experience is my own, and I also try to respect the domains of other men (of which this is yours). We're not afraid of "strong wahmyn", we're afraid of the multitude of weak-willed men occupying the courts, military, and police who'll ruin our lives at those wahmyn's behest. Without OTHER MEN who'll serve said wahmyn at our expense, the only thing scary about said skirts with the possibility they'll cut off our bits during the night after a bad fight.

I'm on the tail end of the Millennials (28) and just got fired from a security job because I made an off-color joke a female coworker overheard, reported me to HR for shrekxtual Har Has Ment, and when my boss took her side without evidence and I corrected him while refusing to apologize, he terminated me. Now I can finally pursue a vocation, develop skills, and get my life going again...plus I got to call him out on my way out the door. That was satisfying.

I'm smart enough to not get married, but if I did, I wouldn't do it unless she proposed to me. I'm the prize and the guardian of commitment; if she wants it, she'll beg for it on my terms in my frame.
