  5.  @wilsixone  I can tell you from dating a Sergeant who's been in LE for 29yrs, that the majority of officers don't get used to things. When there's a death, or they have to even possibly shoot somebody (thank God he's never had to do that, but he's had a few close calls), that all affects them greatly. Fortunately he goes to regular therapy to help with all the trauma (something I wish all officers would do). Officers definitively don't get paid enough to go through the crap they go through on a regular basis, but... they aren't in that career for he pay.

  13.  @hubertwalter1749  Exactly! And in a lot of hybrid cars, the batteries can cause electrocution as well. There are stories of technicians getting electrocuted and also in the past the fire fighters would have to ground the battery before cutting into a Prius before they'd extricate somebody. Scary stuff!

  15. That's exactly what happened. I watched the initial video, and they explained that it was people from the first accident, that were out of their cars and looking at the crash, and then the van driver hit one of the vehicles which ended up hitting the people. So sad...

  16. A lot of people DON'T for with their eyes closed, as much as well all hope. It's definitely an eerie thing to see. That's why a lot of people/doctors, will close their eyes after they've passed.

  27. That girl on the Challenger was very very lucky. According to the report there must've been 2 other people in the car that burned to death. So sad.

  34. One of my HS classmates actually crashed like this when he was on his motocross, just driving fast around the block. He didn't see a van and flew into the van window. Thankfully, he survived, but his leg was never the same... His calf muscle was basically ripped off when he flew into the window. 😢

  39. Huh? What are you talking about? "Most insurance policies won't pay for the vehicle"? If you have "PROPER" coverage (insurance, G.A.P., etc), your vehicle will be covered/replaced. Now if you DON'T have "PROPER" coverage, then you would be screwed. It depends on what kind of insurance coverage you have. Ex- if you payed cash for the vehicle, and only got liability, then your vehicle wouldn't be covered, and that's a dumb move by you. If you CAN'T afford to pay cash for a replacement vehicle (God forbid you get in a wreck), than you should have full coverage (something a lot of people CHOOSE not to have).

  41. Well... Not quite. There was an initial accident with just two cars. The officer was there investigating that crash, when the Amazon can crashed into one of the cars, which people were standing by (the folks in the initial crash). The Amazon driver didn't cause a chain reaction with ALL of the prior cars. There's another video on this, that explains it a little better.
