  1. This is so true! As a victim of both domestic violence and sexual assault, I personally know that a piece of paper (a DVPO), will not protect me. The judge just renewed it for 5 years (after only renewing it yearly for the past 4 and a half years). I also decided to get an 8 camera surveillance system, an additional ADT home monitoring system, and a S & W 9MM along with my CWP. I know all too well what can happen in a short amount of time. People say you don't need a gun. JUST Wait for the police... Well... set your timer for 10 minutes and just sit there... Think about everything that "could" be happening. The punches, kicks, slaps, Choking, etc. Or even just do 5 minutes. It's a VERY long period of time to *"WAIT"*. I will do whatever necessary now to protect myself and my little daughter. This story is so heart-wrenching... My heart hurts for her family and friends. I hope this murder/rapist gets what he deserves in prison (and then in HELL). 😩
