Too many people think that officers "WANT" to do this, and I hate seeing comments about that. Every officer I've ever spoken to says that having to use deadly force is actually their worst fear and that all the training in the world can't prepare you for the feelings you have, when you end up having to use it. I.m.o. this officer did what he had to. It's extremely sad this woman is gone, but in the end, the officer not only protected himself, but everybody else there. She could've easily started shooting all around her.

As a single female myself... It's honestly amazing how people like you can flip things and create a narrative like you do. You seem to forget that hindsight is 20/20, and when a situation like this happens, you have to use your training to make the best decisions possible FOR THAT MOMENT.
