  1. it's way too ironic that his parents find him within 30 minutes! Something is VERY VERY fishy. Not to mention that if he was underwater, then that would mean that the backpack and notebook would ALSO be under water...

  8.  @bobsmith6544  You do realize, that K-9's in this situation, find things by scent, not by sight...? A K-9 isn't looking in the water. They are on a Boat, but are still able to detect the scent of remains in the water. Hopefully that helps you out a bit.
